My yoga journey started when she moved to Canada from Japan in 2008 with one suitcase. I still remember the first day when I arrived in Canada. All I had were summer dresses since I was from an island where we did not see snow that often. I was extremely cold. I ran into a store to buy a rain jacket but I got an extra large jacket instead of extra small. I could barely speak English! I still enjoy the big pink jacket. How I got into yoga? When I lived in Japan, I had severe neck pain and headaches for over 10 years. The pain started when I was 20 years old. I tried massage, chiropractic treatment, and other therapies to no avail. They only had temporary effect. I met one of the yoga teacher at Yoga Santosha when I went to lilac festival in 2009. I decided to try one free yoga class. During the first few years, I did not even see very much change. I did however, start to utilize yoga as a means to relieve stress from work and personal relationships. Indeed, my body always felt lighter and refreshed after yoga. A couple years later, I discovered the energy work that I do now, called the Bio energetic synchronization technique. This practice is an energy balancing hands-on procedure. It strikes a natural balance of nerve function and communication between the conscious and subconscious divisions of the central nervous system. I also learned the six essences of life style through energy work study. These are:As I study more about these six essences, combined with my experience with yoga, I can continue to examine my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs more and more thoroughly. All the pain was gone after 6 years of physical and emotional yoga practice. I completed my 200 hour YTB with Danielle Pechie and meditation, nidra and chakras immersion program with Bridgette Shaw in 2016. Yoga has been part of my life and my life would have been completely different without it. I appreciate every practice I had in the class with amazing teachers always believed in me. I seek to help others thrive in life by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga and you find your own beautiful yoga journey.
